I love a good story.

I’m a theatre artist because I believe stories have the power to heal. They connect us, bridging the gaps in our increasingly isolated world. Theatre brings us together, and from our darkened seats we see pieces of ourselves reflected in the triumphs and struggles of the characters on stage.

I have approached my theatre career with boundless curiosity and an unwavering dedication to pursuing my creative instincts. This path has guided me through diverse roles across stages in Miami, New York, Denver, Connecticut, and Atlanta, where I’ve contributed as a writer, director, actor, clown, and educator.

I was born and raised in Miami and I have deep Cuban roots. Both of those worlds live inside of me.

Playwright.

I FOUND THIS ON THE WEB. City Theatre’s Summer Shorts 2023

My first full-length play, THE LION TAMER, was a winner of the Gulfshore Playhouse New Works Festival in Naples, Florida and was workshopped at the Playwright’s Center in Minneapolis. The play was also a semi-finalist of the Hippodrome Theatre New Works Festival and an official selection of FIU’s The Greenhouse.

My short play, I FOUND THIS ON THE WEB, received a world premiere production at Summer Shorts: Homegrown Edition in 2023. The reviews called it “moment to moment hilarious” and “one of the funniest of the evening.

I was recently selected for Miami-Dade County’s Playwright Development Program and was a member of City Theatre’s first Homegrown cohort of emerging writers.

Director.

RIGHT YOU ARE IF YOU THINK YOU ARE. FIU Theatre, 2019

I have directed plays in Miami and Atlanta. Most recently, I directed the world premiere production of SWINDLERS by Chris Anthony Ferrer at the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Other directing credits include RIGHT YOU ARE, IF YOU THINK YOU ARE by Luigi Pirandello (FIU) and THE POT by Glenn Hutchinson (Main Street Playhouse and FIU).

In April 2026 I will direct Jose Rivera’s THE HOUSE OF RAMON IGLESIA at FIU.

Actor.

THE LAST RIDE OF JOSE MARTI. O, Miami Poetry Festival. 2016

As an actor, I have performed with the Denver Center Theatre, Abre Camino Collective, New Theatre, Microteatro, White Rose Miami, S12E in NY, aMios nyc, Orchestra Miami, and the O, Miami Poetry Festival.

Most recently, I performed as Cardinal Sixten Hjulmand, the Secretary of State of the European Papal Federation in the 2023 production of G7: 2070, a new immersive play.

I have an MFA in Acting from the National Theatre Conservatory in Denver.

Hospital Clown.

I worked for Healthy Humor as a Red Nose Doc at Nicklaus Children's Hospital for 11 years from 2014-2025, creating moments of joy, laughter, wonder, and comfort for hospitalized children and their families.

In the summers, I also clowned at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut. Founded by Paul Newman, the camp serves kids with cancer and other serious illnesses. As a camp clown I facilitated tons of play and connection through silly characters, original skits, and other theatrical mischief.

Professor.

I am an Associate Teaching Professor at FIU where I have taught Dramatic Literature (Modern and Classical), Intro to Acting, Playscript Analysis and Voice & Movement for the past 12 years.

I was awarded a Teaching Excellence Award by FIU’s College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts In 2024 and a RETI (Rewarding Excellence in Teaching Incentive) Award from FIU in 2024.

Human.

I completed three Camino de Santiago pilgrimages in Spain — the Camino Frances in 2017, the Camino del Norte in 2019, and the Camino Primitivo in 2024, totaling over 1400 miles on foot.

I am also an avid TV & Film lover, a lifelong Miami Dolphins fan, and a happy dog dad to Charlie, my golden retriever.
